REHABILITATION

IN MOTION

WHAT IS TREADING WATER?

Treading Water is a canine underwater treadmill system built within a tiny home office on a trailer. Essentially, it’s a hydrotherapy unit on wheels. The space is thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable and functional environment for canine rehabilitation patients, their owners, and practitioners.

BENEFITS OF HYDROTHERAPY

The buoyancy of water supports a dog’s weight, decreasing stress on joints and allowing movement with less pain.

REDUCED JOINT STRESS

Hydrotherapy encourages safe stretching and movement of joints, improving flexibility and joint function.

ENHANCED RANGE OF MOTION

Warm water promotes circulation, reduces inflammation, and helps relax muscles, providing natural pain relief.

PAIN
RELEIF

Water resistance helps build and maintain muscle mass without the high impact of land exercises.

IMPROVED MUSCLE STRENGTH

Post-surgical or injury recovery is often quicker due to increased mobility and muscle conditioning in a safe environment.

WHY MOBILE HYDROTHERAPY?

Any rehabilitation practitioner who has worked with hydrotherapy understands the difficulties this modality presents. Who hasn’t flooded their facility at least once? And let’s not even mention the little leaks you can’t find. By taking the underwater treadmill out of the clinic, we’ve virtually eliminated the need to worry about the water.

Treading Water’s primary market is veterinary clinics or mobile canine rehabilitation practitioners who don’t currently offer hydrotherapy due to financial, spatial, or other constraints. This mobile office unit increases access to hydrotherapy as a treatment option for canine rehabilitation patients and their caregivers.
